We have introduced a range of new health and safety measures that seek to reduce the risk associated with the presence of COVID-19.   These additional health and safety measures are in line with government advice and the requirements of local health authorities.

Rink Safety

  • All skaters must use the hand sanitiser provided before entering the rink area

  • On the rink our skate crew will wear protective face shields and help keep everyone safe

  • Some of our facilities may be out of action due to their high touch design. You will be notified upon entry.

  • From time to time areas may be out of action for cleaning.

  • Please bring your own water or purchase some from our café

  • Any first aid that is needed will be administered with extra safety protection for all


New Reduced Capacity & Skate Sessions Available

  • Our Skate sessions have been greatly reduced to enable social and physical distancing on the rink

  • Sessions will be staggered throughout the day

  • Only 1 spectator maximum per booking

  • We ask that all supervising adults follow social distancing guidelines, spectator capacity has also been greatly reduced

Mooseshack Cafe

  • Our Cafe will be open and serving hot/cold drinks and snacks

  • Please use hand sanitiser provided upon entry to the Cafe

  • Place your order at the till whilst ensuring you follow social distancing guidelines

  • You may take a seat/bench if one is available, we have removed several tables to allow for social distancing

  • You may also take Hot/Cold drinks and snacks down to the rink during your session, these should only be consumed in the seating area and not on the rink.

New Cleaning Procedures

  • Hand sanitiser, hand soap and disinfectant sprays will be readily available for use by all throughout the rink

  • Enhanced cleaning is now in place

  • Out of hours deep cleaning is scheduled

New Social/Physical Distancing Measures

  • We are only accepting Online bookings. No walk-in slots will be available.  If you get stuck our friendly bookings team are there to help on 01455 209225

  • We have installed signage from entry, all around the rink to exit. Please read and follow all signage and please ensure all children are supervised and understand too

  • Just a friendly reminder that the adult accompanying all young skaters is responsible for ensuring our new safety measures are followed. Thank you


New Reduced Contact Booking & Check In Procedure

  • We are delighted to launch our new online booking system

  • Please arrive at least 20 minutes before your Skate session with your email booking confirmation ready

  • Please ensure you have completed your waiver prior to arrival – this will help speed up the check in process and avoid any delays

  • Please use the hand sanitiser provided upon entry

  • Our teams will be wearing P.P.E

  • Pick up your skates & protective equipment from the skate hut following check-in.  Once collected, head down the corridor to the rink, you may be asked to wait until the skaters from the previous session have left, if so please feel free to start putting skates on whilst you are waiting, but please ensure you maintain social distancing, skates can also be put on in the main rink area. Please maintain social distancing and follow directions of the skate crew.

  • Once your skate session has ended please leave your skates & any protective equipment down at the rink, and a member of the skate crew will take everything back to the skate hut for you.

  • Please exit as quickly as possible and no longer than 15 minutes after your Skate session has ended, via our new exit adjacent to the rink, this exit takes you straight into the car park or you may head up to the Cafe for drinks/snacks and then exit the building, following the signs. 


Skate Crew Health Check

  • Our Skate Crew will be fully trained prior to re-starting work to ensure they are healthy and ready to work

  • All Skate Crew members will receive a temperature check at the start of their shift. 

  • Every Skate Crew member will be fully briefed every day on maintaining the highest cleanliness and hygiene standards


Skate Family Guest Responsibility

  • We ask that if anyone in your group or bubble is displaying any symptoms of COVID-19 or has come into contact with anyone displaying symptoms you call us at least 24 hours prior to your booking date on 01455 209225 to reschedule the skate session for at least 14 days later or receive a voucher to the value of your booking, if contacting us with less than 24 hours notice we cannot offer an alternative.

  • Please ensure that as of Monday 14th September when you are on site groups of up to 6 do not mix or form larger groups. This rule will not apply to individual households or support bubbles of more than 6 who will still be able to gather together. 

  • All guests over the age of 11 years are expected to wear a face covering before entering the venue and must keep it on until you leave unless there is a reasonable excuse for removing it such as eating/drinking or when skating.

  • Please respect our Skate Crew and signage guidance to ensure physical distancing is maintained. This keeps everyone comfortably safe and will enable a fun family day out

  • We encourage all supervisors to accompany their children to the toilets to help everyone keep to social distancing

  • Temp check at the skate hut - if your temperature is above 37.8 and the required range (and displays red) we reserve the right to refuse entry, in this instance we will reschedule the skate session at no charge for at least 14 days later.
